Please provide a way to turn off the extremely annoying warnings when opening downloaded files: "[file]" is a web application which you downloaded from the internet. Are you sure you want to open it? Ack! These warnings are driving me crazy. It's like something out of Microsoft Windows. Yes, I'm sure I want to open the file. THAT'S WHY I DOUBLE-CLICKED IT! I know I downloaded it from the internet. THAT'S WHY IT'S IN THE DOWNLOADS FOLDER! 04-Nov-2008 12:31 PM : Engineering has requested the following information in order to further investigate this issue: Are you complaining about application download warnings, other kinds of "unsafe" download warnings, or all download warnings? 04-Nov-2008 02:55 PM Jeff Johnson: Application download warnings, I believe. It depends on what circumstances cause the warning. If it's just the fact that I downloaded it from the internet, I don't want a warning. If something unsafe is detected, such as the file type not matching the file extension or something in the resource fork or the like, I wouldn't mind that kind of warning. 06-Nov-2008 12:05 PM : Engineering has provided the following workaround: You can disable it yourself by googling "LSRiskCategoryContentTypes" and looking at one of the hits.
